Imaging informatics covers a broad scope of knowledge, systems, strategies, policies, roles, workflows, and data types. Trying to follow current best practices as new systems, data standards, and clinical needs evolve can be challenging.

It is with this in mind that I developed a framework to provide some consistent structure for best practices in a broad set of imaging informatics aspects.

The Excellence in Imaging Informatics Framework provides guidance on best practices in:

• Governance
• Strategies
• Programs
• Policies and Procedures

These are supported by a collection of appendices with additional information and resources.
